The Story:

 Butta MD...
Rhyming since she was 12 years old, Margaret Deloach, is a native Memphian professionally known as, Butta MD. Due to a gospel, piano, and freestyle foundation, Butta MD grew into a female lyricist, and writer, who was determined to shine in the midst of her and others, struggles and triumphs.  Yes, music was Butta MD's dream although graduating from college, became her reality. In May 2010, she received her Bachelors Degree in Music Business, Cum Laude.  Take a look to see what she offers not only the music industry, but the WORLD...

Music:
After college, Butta MD soon started paving the way in her music career by releasing Inspiring/Uplifting songs.
"Brighter Day", ft. soulful singer, Ebony Angel, has been played on 95.7 FM, (Clear Channel, Gospel Station), placed 2nd place in a Memphis Music Launch competition, in 2011,.  In 2013, "Brighter Day" aslo made it to the TOP 100 in the GMC TV, Gospel, Most Powerful Voices, Nationwide competition as well.  This song, will sure to have you encouraged.  
 Her song "Warrior"(We Made It) and "I Survived",are on her debut EP, she released on June 2014, "Da NU Norm/ We Made It", EP.  She successfully created a "We Made It" T-shirt campaign, where she raised funds to donate to the Wings Cancer Foundation, in honor of her late mother, Gloria S. Deloach, who passed away in 2013, from breast cancer.  This campaign raised awareness for living a healthier lifestyle and to enjoy your family and friends now, because you never know when it will be the last time you see them..
She dedicated the album to her late mother, who passed August 2013, to Breast Cancer. "Da Nu Norm, EP includes a collection of six heart compelling songs, she wrote while her mother was battling cancer and you can hear the pain, stories, and triumphs, throughout every song. Butta MD's mission is to change the face of hip hop music, by healing, helping, and coming from the heart, in everything she does. 

Spokenword Artist:
As you jam some of Butta MD's music, don't forget to check her out live when she is spitting some POETRY, A.K.A. SPOKENWORD... Now, in 2015, Butta MD has been called, the "Queen of Spoken word", with her prolific, empowering, and inspiring poetry.  She has placed 3rd, two years straight, for the "Slam Poetry Slam", held at Prohibition, along with Flowetic Sundays. She placed 1st, in the Beale of Writes Poetry Slam, held, by Carin "Writeous Soul" Malone, June, 2015. She has performed her spoken word for many crowds, churches, fashion shows, schools, and more.  
Recently Butta MD, traveled to Little Rock, Ark, June 2015, to be a part of the 23 Annual Southern Fried, Poetry Slam, w/ one of the Memphis teams, represented there, "THE P.E.O.P.L.E", along with Diverse-City.  Butta MD was nominated Best Spokenword Artist, via Best in Black Awards Memphis, 2016.

Writer:
Butta MD has featured on new Soul/R&B artist, Nick Black's earlier album, "The Soul Diaries".  Now Butta MD, is a co-writer on Nick Black's upcoming album, "Deep Blue".  She will be credited for 1. Worst You Can Do" and 2. Don't Leave Louise".  This is not the first time, Nick Black and Butta MD has joined forces, they are the writers for, Music  Business guru, Tonya Butler's theme song, " Professor Butler's Show".  Butta MD has put on the hat of being a Contributing Writer for the "SLC Magazine", in which she shares her expertise on the different Music Business/Industry issues and solutions for the city of Memphis.

Teacher/Mentor:
Butta MD has linked up with local, non-profit organization, "Heal the Hood" where she is able to use her teaching skills, and mentoring abilities, to reach the next generation.  She has done several school and church tours in Memphis with this organization.  She not only performs, but she sees it as an opportunity to reach the youth on their level, by giving them something they can jam to, as well as some advice on how she got to where she is currently at.  Along with teaching, Butta MD, does community teaching, during the summer with local school, for their Girls Music camps.  2015, will be Butta MD's 4th year straight being a part of Hutchison's Delta Girls Rock Camp.

With genuine, soulful, and uplifting tunes, she continues to encourage and inspire through performing, writing, speaking, and singing. Now as she is propelled up to her next level, she's determined to pass down to the next generation; her music but most importantly the awareness that "anything is possible, if you only believe, keep God first, and KEEP GOING!"
