Friday's J.A.M. (Just A Minute)
Friday's J.A.M. (Just A Minute), is a 2 minute jam session/behind the scenes of the, conversations, freestyles, laughs, and more, that stemmed from the once a week, 2-3 hours rehearsals. It became the love child, with the old skool hip hop flavor, from DJ Ken Skratch, with a mixture of some prolific lyrics from Memphian rapper, spoken word artists, writer, musician, and singer, of Butta MD and soulful singer Ebony Angel.
Ebony Angel and Butta MD, have been performing for about 2 years at different venues around Memphis. These J.A.M. sessions are us not only rehearsing, the song repertoire of Butta MD, but also improv songs.
DJ Ken Skratch, has been djing for 12 years professionally. He's a former member of the Ripp Squad djs. He's djed a lot of parties including a hip hop fashion show at his church. His inspiration djs are Grandmaster Flash, the late Jam Master Jay, DJ Red Alert, Mr Magic, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Brucie Bee, Ron G, Kid Capri and my partner DJ SuperGod who taught me not to touch the record too hard!!
The main goal for, Behind the scenes, Friday's J.A.M., is to share and engage the supporters/fans of Butta MD's to some old skool music, with a dose of inspiring, up lifting, encouraging lyrics.
